1987 Lancia Thema 2.0 8v i.e turbo

We love each one of the Type Four brethren (the Saab 9000 maybe less so, but it’s still fun to spin the wheels in!) but there is something just that extra bit special with the Thema. Massively over-engineered, as any self-respecting Lancia should be, and they just ooze Mafiosi cool from each of those angular corners.

This one headed up to us in deepest Norfolk from its cosmopolitan home in London, and is one of the eight or so surviving RHD 2.0 8v i.e. turbo models. An incredibly rare car and one we’re honoured to be entrusted with giving some TLC. The first port of call is a new timing belt (which of course will include balance belt, water pump & tensioners) for that turbocharged Lampredi twin-cam engine.

Be sure to follow us on our social media channels to see how we get on with this imperious Lancia.
