Fiat Croma

How many outfits could honestly say they’ve had both versions of the Fiat Croma in stock? Not many, I bet you!

Fiat Croma (154)

I’ll be totally honest, I don’t really remember much about this Croma which we appear to have sold in 2007. I’m not even sure what engine it had in it - although had it been a Turbo I think that would have stuck in my mind. Part of the “Type Four” family, it shares its underpinnings with the Alfa Romeo 164, Lancia Thema and Saab 9000. There’s another niche claim-to-fame for us, over the years we’ve sold examples of each and completed the whole set!

Fiat Croma (194)

A lot like almost every other family-sized Fiat in RHD guise, this was a bit of a sales disaster in the UK market. Available only for a couple of years and with deliveries struggling to get into four figures, it was always a very rare sight. But, what that has resulted in is incredible value for money for anyone searching out a Croma in the used car market. The Prestigio pictured above, for example, was a beautifully smooth family cruiser with panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, 18” alloys, 150bhp JTD engine and all available for peanuts. We still keep an eye out for these underrated MPV/estate car crossovers and, one day, we’ll find the ultimate street sleeper - the 2.4 20V 200bhp model.
