1983 Lancia Beta 2.0 Engine

As you have probably already guessed, we’re massive fans of the famed Aurelio Lampredi designed Fiat Twincam engine. No other power unit has won more rallies than this humble little 4-cylinder screamer, and it’s an absolute delight in pretty much every single car it was ever fitted to.

Our workshop is certainly no stranger to this engine then (see the Fiat 124 Spiders, this beautiful Lancia Montecarlo and the sole surviving RHD Fiat Tipo GT), but ordinarily, they do come to us with just a bit more metal surrounding it!

A 2.0 variant as found in the Lancia Beta (although, we don’t need to tell you that as you’d already spotted the tell-tale angle of the sump, right?), it has been in storage on a stand since the early 1990s.

We are now setting about completely rebuilding and refurbishing it, after which it will be available for sale. Perfect for any number of kit car iterations or to slot back into a classic Lancia somewhere. Alternatively, if you’d like us to develop it to your own specification, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.
